The past few months...

Just Imagine how fast days go and here I am again as usual giving long time no see updates of what have I've wallowing for the past few months. I've been watching a lot of movies, I've been indulging myself with different kinds of emotions that would be hard to elaborate as for now, since I have to keep this bloggerrhoid just simple. To give you a gist of what happened, Joanne decided not to continue Rubix' contract, The bar was then closed 4 months ago.Eqore's contract ended 5 months we gave it up before Rubix. Things have been quite tough, considering the fact that Joanne had to go through all the stages before she would finally accept everything. The good thing is she eventually was able to accept that things may not be worth it but what matters really is that we all move on. i think it's just okay for me to blurt this out, that ... sometimes she has repercussions of what happened buty sometimes they cause positive actions which still makes me feel happy.

Red, well she eventually got hitched with  gian, I wish Gian all the best, I forgive red, but for now I can't stand talking or listening to her bullcrap, I did cut her out and I'm sure about that, she just caused me pain due to her slander, Just Imagine having a friend who pulled you way down. Well the problem with me was that I made my feelings affect the things I'm complacently doing. Turned out I failed in some. I actually stopped for this semester again. Just Imagine a few years ago almost all of my blog entries were about my school or if I talk about something at the end of my entry I manage to tell stories about school.

Anyways life may have made my path swerve drastically due to my decisions yet I was able to construe that with courage, I'm still here unbowed and moving on. Here 's something I  came up with. A saying about dreams which came into thought a couple of months ago. To bad I was not acquainted with this kind of thought before. right now I'm working on Materializing it by way of my thoughts. Anyways ... Dreams should be not only be visualized, You should not cling to your dreams or hold on to it. You should stand by it. Clinging or holding on to it might give you doubts on whether to to choose to let it go in case of distress. But if you stand by it.You live with it. You feed your thoughts with it. You could actually feel that its just right there.

ciao!

Glowing RocKs

I know this title  may sound boring to you. Anyways, Joanne asked me to write an article about this and since I'm in the mood and quite fascinated by it. I did some research on it and decided to educate us more about Rocks. I hope I won't sidetrack as I go along with this topic and I hope that you guys will enjoy.. be prepared to be fascinated!

Bach when I was a kid I saw this Filipino Movie it was a story about a guy who loves collecting rocks. He was fascinated by it's form, colors and characteristics. That he even collected big rocks.. actually big rocks. I always thought Filipino Movies were corny but as I grew up I soon then got introduced to this kind of hobby. Rock collecting, its dangerous but really fun and educating.

There are actually different kinds of rocks and I'm sure some of you still remember things about sedimentary rocks etc.the  things we learn in school.

Metamorphic, igneous or sedimentary  rocks are Older Rocks they are changed by great heat and pressure. The reason why most rocks found beneath the earth's surface makes crystals in the rock is because of the heat and pressure beneath the earth. Theoretically speaking if A rock  already has crystals in it the crystals become bigger and larger.

The best way to define a rock (before I talk about how rocks glow and become luminous)  is that it is an indefinite mixture of naturally occurring substances, mainly minerals. The reason why we should know about this is because the term Rock Collection is usually misused for mineral collection. Although a few people collect rocks the amount of people collecting minerals is much greater and why???... well its because Minerals are an economic commodity, there are about 3,000 different types of minerals and new ones are constantly discovered. In general, the only people interested in rocks are geologists and paleontologist but nowadays it's a hobby. A rock containing flourescent minerals is expensive... and i'll let you know later how to identify one and how to find one!!

There are several ways wherein  minerals can emit light.

1. Florescence - The light from ultraviolet lamps reacts with the chemicals ofa mineral and causes the mineral to glow.
2. Phospherescence - If the mineral continues to glow after the light has been removed.
3. Thermoluminescence - If the mineral glows when heated
4. Triboluminescence - If the minerals glow after they are stuck or crushed.

I will be talking about Flourescent Minerals which are minerals that emit a visible light when activated by ultraviolet light which is long wave... the black light. You would notice black lights used in bars or clubs. I was amazed by it when Joanne showed me one. anyways, Collecting flourescent minerals is a popular hobby and if you are an experienced collector of rocks im sure you use Flourescence for identification purposes. It is actually a viable prospecting technique. So for now u need a UV light you know those things they use to check whether a money is fake or not. You could actually buy one if you want to try this hobby don't forget your chisel you might need one... okay moving on.

Tenebrescent is when the rock changes into a different color when exposed to a Uv light. Short Uv light may be blinding so I rather you choose long UV light.
The following are flourescent minerals which glow in UVlight. You could click on the links I have at the bottom of this article to see how it looks like... it's cool and amazing.

BENITOITE ,SCHEELITE ,WILLEMITE,CALCITE,FRANKLINITE ,ADAMITE ,FLUORITE
SODALITE ,HARDYSTONITE ,SCAPOLITE ,GYPSUM ,ZIPPEITE

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find an article about places you go to here in the Philippines to be able to find one. I believe though that there are lots of places here in Benguet and Mt Province, you could also find rocks like this in deep water inlets. If you would really like to try this hobby first you have to be fascinated by it passion comes in through fascination.  The reason I say its dangerous is because sometimes you really have to look into caves and take the risk although its dark. But I'm sure it would really be rewarding to find one. I remember when I was a  kid we always get fascinated with rocks that are really different, how I wish I knew about this before. Anyways, here's a hint I found upon researching on this. Handheld UV lamps run on 12 volt DC, or direct current. In practical terms this means one of the filaments in the tube will wear out before the other. If you reverse the tube when the output begins to dim, you can extend its life.

In Greenland you would really find a lot of rocks like this with different kinds of minerals. There are also organizations in the states that share their collections with kids.

If ever Joanne would think of pursuing this kind of hobby I would suggest she put all her collections in a museum. Instead of selling it. Rocks are so relaxing the reason why they put lots of rocks in spas etc. Just imagine a museum full of Uv lights,,, that would be COOL too...

"Baguio, Basura?"

Another thought.. So now I'm in the mood to write. I read an article yesterday on Midland about a person who's struggling to find a job. In the United States, although you're not a college graduate still~you could find a job that will help you with your day to day life. You can actually have a car or have your own house. If you don't have a job you could apply for something wherein the government would give you money to support your needs,as soon as you find a job they would subtract the  money which at least  helped you from your paycheck... still fair....

In the Philippines if your college graduate still you'll be having troubles finding a job. You could have a job but it would only support your day to day expenses like food and clothing, school and yeah a little purchase of entertainment.. According to studies Baguio City is the center of education  here in the Philippines the reason why most students chose to study here in here Baguio. i think that that it's mainly because of One thing the weather!!.But Baguio Nowadays is turning out to be the "Basura City" daw and yeah I noticed that to. Just to inform y'all the government spends a lot of Millions to dispose Baguio's Garbage/waste but still we see a lot of garbage along sidewalks sometimes near people's houses (enough reason to connote how disorganized these people are). Their reason..." eh kasi hinihintay pa namin mag cocollect ng basura" which is true. Garbage Collectors come to collect once a week most of the time and we read a lot of articles every week saying they spend millions????.... where's the money going then. Graft and Corruption not only happens here in the Philippines but also in other Countries, but still the Philippines is well known for this. Nostradamus even had a prediction about Marcos to be a corrupt and that he's fall would awaken a lot of people (Philippine Revolution). After the Philippine Revolution a lot of countries emulated to revolution because of our revolution, thinking they would outhrow their government  but failed. The reason why most intellectual people really yield to Cory and Ninoy Aquino. I remember my professor once said "Cory NEVER lies".. "Arroyo always Lies"... after Marcos we woke up... should we wake ourselves up again?. I remember a Caller of mine once said (when I use to work at callcenter ) that we are the goverment change starts with us. If we can't change something that's been there then we should do something that would help ourselves.

I think in politics truth is only relative. Remember the Ah1n1 threat? , the media was so busy giving us numbers about how many people died and how many people show symptons of this kind of illness. We were all so busy worrying about how to fight it etc. I remember Joanne and I even made a Flyer to advertise Rubix but most importantly to inform the public on how to avoid it... naks!... University of Cordillera's copied our Flyer Lay out... whata copy cat... btw that was my school.. I'm not sourgraping anyways.. before i sidetrack again from my topic. What was the government during that time... they controlled the media and took advantage of the time to talk about Charter Change I guess... I don't like CharterChange.. why well because the Law yields to us Women and changing it might change everything. Clearly, still men understimate the women's power. I'm just so glad Cris my friend did not end up working as a full time housewife. I'm glad she used what she learned in school. I once said to myself that as soon as I become a Lawyer upon winning my 6th case in court.I will run for a Councilor Position. Still I want to be an employee of the government but not an official anymore.

Right now we are all part of the government, I don't think being an activist is one of my purpose. Im just saying.... if we are all part of the government could someone speak for my thoughts. Were did you hide the money? okay let me paraphrase this just so it sounds better... Where did you allot the garbage money??... it would have helped this college graduate who could't find a job...instead just decided to write an article on Midland :( ... tsk tsk tsk.

:~~ Random Thoughts~~:

I never wanted to leave the Philippines I know there's still hope here.. China a 3rd world country has a fast growing economy.  The reason why I took up Law was because I wanted to make a difference yeah I had high hopes before , but I guess It will be all words for now... anyways the Universe will Provide.  I hope I'm making sense here.
